British Hairdresser found Guilty of deliberately infecting Men with HIV

In what is an unprecedented move in England, a man has been found guilty of deliberately infecting people with the HIV virus.

Daryll Rowe, a hairdresser, attempted infecting 10 men he met on Grindr with HIV, succeeding in 4 cases.

According to Telegraph, he was, on Wednesday, convicted of five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, and five counts of attempting to do so.

Rowe had reportedly told his victims that he was HIV negative, pushing that they have unprotected sex.

Whenever the victims insisted on using a condom, Rowe would reportedly tamper with the condoms, causing them to rip.

He’d later send mocking text messages to the men, telling them he had infected them with HIV.

“Maybe you have the fever. I came inside you and I have HIV LOL. Oops!” one of the men said Rowe texted him.

Rowe was reportedly diagnosed with HIV in 2015, and refused vaccination for common illnesses HIV-positive patients are susceptible to.

He also refused antiretroviral drugs which slow the development of the virus and make those infected with HIV less contagious.

He would meet men on Grindr and try to infect them, the men revealed.

Another victim of his, who had insisted on him using a condom, got a text a few days after their meet, saying: “Haha I hope you enjoyed my cum in you. I bet you noticed that.”

A month after, he went for an HIV test and was tested positive.

This is the first time anyone has been found guilty of deliberately infecting someone with HIV in England.
