Ciara Drops $15 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against Future

Ciara is starting 2017 on a new page. According to TMZ, the I Bet singer has dropped the defamation lawsuit filed against the father of her son, Future, in the Superior Court in Fulton County, GA. The case was subsequently dismissed ‘with prejudice’, which means it can never be filed again.

Recall that the drama started after the rapper branded her a “controlling bitch” and claimed he pays $15,000 per month for the welfare of their son. Ciara filed a libel case against him, stressing that he put her in ‘false light’. In October, the singer dropped the libel case because his badmouthing didn’t affect her earnings and continued with the ‘false light’ suit as it does not require proof of losing income.

But Ciara has now dropped the charge and TMZ adds that the rapper didn’t pay her any money for the dismissal and it seems they have reached an agreement on the custody of their 2-year-old son, baby Future.

Hopefully, there will be no more drama between the two.
