DSS Releases Apostle Suleiman After 3-Hours Of Interrogation

General overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Suleiman Johnson was on Monday quizzed by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) over his recent statements. Reports also confirm that he was subsequently released on Monday night.

The cleric had been invited to appear before the DSS at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja, to clarify statements made in the course of a sermon in which he called on his followers to attack Fulani herdsmen.

Suleiman was reacting to continued reports of rampaging attacks in Southern Kaduna believed to have been carried out by Fulani herdsmen.

According to Punch, Apostle Suleiman was interrogated by the state security agents for about three hours.
He was said to have been released by the DSS at about 10:45 pm amidst cheers from members of his congregation, friends and family members.
Phrank Shaibu, communications adviser to Apostle Suleiman, promised to give newsmen more details about what transpired at the DSS office, on Tuesday.
Apostle Suleman has been allowed to go. The DSS exhibited high level of maturity, competence and professionalism”, Shaibu said.
