Any Man Who Sleeps With the Ex-Olori Wuruola May Die – Priest

Any man who sleeps with former Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi may die, even though she has severed her relationship with the Ooni of Ife, so says an Ifa priest.

Speaking with The Sun, Chief Yemi Elebuibon, elaborated on the importance of the said spiritual cleansing the woman, not the Ooni, must undergo if she wishes to lay with another man other than the Ooni.

“The wife of the Oba will be asked to consult Ifa and Ifa will give directions on how she will make the necessary atonement for her cleansing,” said the priest, Chief Yemi Elebuibon.

And he continued, “In Yoruba tradition, a woman who has been married to a king cannot lay with any other man even if the marriage breaks up. But when the right atonements have been made, there won’t be problem.”

Recall that last week, the former wife of the king finally confirmed the raging rumour of her failed marriage to the Ooni of Ife. She reverted to her maiden name while also clinging to a royal title–Queen Zaynab-Otiti Obanor— and spoke up against the culture of blaming women when marriages fails.

She also called out the Ooni of Ife, especially because of his silence in this issue. “The throne is sacred and the attempts to tarnish the name of a Queen, in defense or on behalf of a silent King makes all involved look terrible,” she said, adding, “Remain dignified in all you do. It’s not the end of the world, but the start of a new chapter and you must turn the page with grace. The world is watching.”

That development caused major ripples on social media, and now more reactions trail the news that she is not entirely a free woman.

“For the woman, she might not really have a problem but for any man who sleeps with a queen or marries an ex-queen without the appropriate cleansing, the man may die prematurely, he may be struck with sickness or there might be retrogression in his life,” said the Ifa priest.

And as though that was not enough, he added, “Any marriage she would be going into must not be elaborate. They should go far away and avoid any flamboyant wedding.”

Queen Zaynab-Otiti Obanor had yet to react to this news as at press time.
