Perhaps it won’t be wrong to describe Beyonce’s #Lemonade as a Nigerian epic?

Earlier on, we reported that Laolu Sebanjo, whose works are heavily inspired by his Yoruba Heritage, is the mind behind the enchanting body art worn by Beyonce and her back up dancers in the visual album. Now, Lagos-based designer, Amaka Osakwe, owner of Maki Oh, has taken to Instagram to reveal that she is also one of the designers who clothed the singer and featured artists in the epic album.

“The Queen + beauties, including the gorgeous @amandlastenberg in our teardrop adiré dress in the @beyonce film #LEMONADE,” the designer shared on Instagram, adding, “Truly honored to be a part of this!! #Epic.”

In another photo featuring Stenberg, Maki Oh said, “Love this shot of the gorgeous @amandlastenberg in our teardrop adiré dress in the @beyoncefilm #LEMONADE”

And this is not the first time the designer is gaining global credence.

Last July, Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, while visiting her home country Kenya as one of Wild Aid’s Global Ambassadors, stepped out for her first event in a gorgeous adire dress which was made by the Lagos-based designer. Also, Beyonce’s sister, Solange, had been spotted wearing the Nigerian design.

This is one more reason to love and promote Made in Nigeria product, don’t you think?
