Operation Hadin Kai: United Nations Development Programmes Visits Theatre Command

The National Security Officer, United Nations Development Programmes ( UNDP ) Nigeria, Col WO Alao ( Rtd ) Monday 23 May 2022, visited the Theatre Command Joint Taskforce ( JTF ) North East ( NE ) Operation HADIN KAI ( OPHK ).

Col Alao ( Rtd ) was received at the Headquarters Theatre Command in Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri by the Theatre Commander JTF NE OPHK Major General Christopher Musa where fruitful deliberation ensued.

While showering ecomiums on the military for the recent feats attained in the war against terrorism and recounting the numerous support accorded to the organization, Col Aloa disclosed that his visit to the North East region wouldn’t have been complete without him making out time to visit the Theatre Command, OPHK.

He further expressed gratitude to the Theatre Commander, stating that the organization will continue to lean on the Theatre Command for more support in the area of security whenever the need arise.

The Theatre Commander in his response, appreciated the National Security Officer UNDP Nigeria for the visit and further stated that Operation HADIN KAI will continue to partner with UNDP within the North East Theatre of Operation to support their activities.

Gen Musa, however assured UNDP of continuous support and clearly stated that the door is open for them in the aspect of security to ensure smooth conduct of their humanitarian activities in the North East.

The hitch free visit featured an Interractive session between the military and officials of UNDP, signing of visitor’s book, presentation of sovienirs and group photograph.
