Remy Ma Reacts To Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds” Video Just As Expected

Remy Ma stopped by the Power 106 studios on Tuesday (May 16) for an episode of The Cruz Show where she was asked about her feelings on Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds” video featuring Drake and Lil Wayne. The now notorious song was meant as a diss track in response to Remy’s initial verbal assault, “ShETHER,” which, by many onlookers’ standards, obliterated the self-proclaimed Black Barbie bar by bar.

In the Benny Boom-directed visual, however, Remy’s Love & Hip Hop co-star and former best friend Rah Ali makes an unexpected cameo, and many people who noticed thought it was highly disrespectful. Remy, on the other hand, didn’t seem too worried about it.

“I wasn’t particularly shocked,” she said. “You know what? Nothing shocks me anymore … I’m never like, ‘Oh my god I can’t believe it.’ Nothing really shocks me and nothing really moves me neither. I have to care to be like, ‘Oh my god.’ But if you don’t care, it really doesn’t matter at all. I would guess the only question that probably piqued my mind was like, ‘Why you lying though? Hmm, strange. Alright, moving on.’

Gloss-n-Shade: Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds” verse has hoards of darts aimed at Remy Ma but none as sensational as “ShEther.”

“That’s like if you guys stopped speaking or you guys not hanging with each other and to make me mad, you hang with somebody that you think has a problem with me,” she continued. “That doesn’t make me mad. That makes just me say, ‘Good thing that I’m not around you.’ Like, ‘Whew dodged that bullet.’ It doesn’t make you feel any type of way. So if that was supposed to be a shot, kinda missed with that one.”

While the war may have turned silent between the two female mic slayers, they might have to see each other next month. Nicki and Remy are both nominated in the Best Female Hip Hop Artist category at the 2017 BET Awards, which take place on June 25.
