For Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, you can say if it ain’t making dollars it ain’t making sense!
While much of the world is obsessed with sharing massively over-filtered photos of themselves and cronies on Instagram, Ronaldo is doing same, of course, but making money off it: a whole lot of dough.
The popular photo-sharing app is big business these days, especially when it comes to promoting products, celebrities, and the products that celebrities are using, and the footie superstar already knows this.
Five of his last six posts are with his top off – and it’s not just because he loves to flaunt his sculpted body – they’re basically for commercial reasons, Mirror writes.
A new study has revealed that the 32-year-old – who has 106 million followers – earns a whopping £308,000 per sponsored post!
This places him third on the “Instagram rich list” as the top-earning male in the world, just ahead of reality star Kylie Jenner, and behind pop star and actress Selena Gomez on £424,000 per post and reality queen Kim Kardashian on £385,000 per post.
The only other male in the top 10 – and indeed the only other sportsperson – is NBA superstar LeBron James, who can earns £92,457 per sponsored post.
Next time you see a Ronaldo topless pic; forget the body, keep your eyes on the money.
