Cristiano Ronaldo Orders Agent to ‘Force Through’ Manchester United Return

Cristiano Ronaldo is all set to seal a dream return to Manchester United after reports emerged that he has ordered his agent to ‘do everything possible’ to complete the deal.

This comes in the wake of reports in the British press that Jose Mourinho has sanctioned an eye-watering £175 million move for the wantaway Real Madrid forward.

The move will see goalkeeper David De Gea return to the Spanish capital as Mourinho looks to bolster his squad with the ‘goals and personality’ of his countryman.

Ronaldo, who left Old Trafford for Real Madrid eight years ago, caused a stir last week when he asked to leave the club after a record-extending 12th European cup.

The four-time ballon d’Or winner faces allegations of defrauding the Spanish taxman of £15million over the years, allegations he has strongly debunked.

Rumours of his impending exit sparked a bidding war among European giants with United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich scrambling for his signature. But the 32-year-old has reportedly told super-agent, Jorge Mendes, to pull out all the stops to facilitate a return to the club where he first made his mark, Sun writes.

Spanish press reports that he’s ignored pleas from manager Zinedine Zidane to reconsider his decision, stating he believes strongly it’s time to move on.

He stoked the rumours by dodging media duties after Portugal’s 2-2 draw with Mexico at the Fifa Confederations Cup Sunday, but Madrid all but confirmed his exit when they left him out of their kit promo for next season.
