1 Division Nigerian Army Concludes Second Quarter Annual Physical Efficiency Test 2023

1 Division Nigerian Army has concluded her Second Quarter Annual Physical Efficiency Test 2023. The 5 days physical efficiency test which commenced on Monday 11 September 2023 at Nigerian Defence Academy Sports Complex, Ribadu Cantonment officially came to an end on 15 September 2023 with 15 Km endurance walk.

The General officer Commanding 1 Division NA Maj Gen VU Okoro who was represented by the Commander 51 Signals Brigade Brig Gen H Yanet commended the officers and soldiers for their fitness level and charged them to make deliberate efforts to maintain their personal fitness level so as to effectively combat the threats in the Division’s Area of Responsibility. He reiterated that the routine physical fitness exercise is in order to achieve the COAS Command Philosophy which is ” To Transform the NA into a Well-trained, Equipped and Highly Motivated Force Towards Achieving our Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint Environment”

He commend the Acting Assistant Director Physical Training 1 Division NA Lt Col MO Edu for organizing a successful Second Quarters Physical Fitness Test and applauded the personnel for the large and highly impressive turnout.

The activities of the 5 days exercise include 3.2km race, push-ups, sit-ups and 15km route walk.
