
14 Brigade Nigerian Army Strengthens Inter-Agency Collaboration With NSCDC In Abia State
The Commander, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ahmad Dikko, on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, at the Command’s Headquarters in Umuahia.
The visit which was one of his familiarization visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration and enhancing operational synergy between both security agencies in the collective effort to ensure a more secure Abia State.
Speaking during the visit, the Brigade Commander emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation, noting that effective security delivery thrives on unity of purpose, intelligence sharing, and mutual support among sister agencies.
In his response, Commandant Akinsola Aderemi expressed optimism in collaborative efforts. He further appreciated the synergy which he noted to be in line with the core mandate of his command. He assured cordial collaboration by reaffirming the NSCDC’s commitment to sustaining a strong working relationship with the Nigerian Army going forward.
The event was climaxed with presentation of plaques and group photographs.
