Over 276,000 Kebbi PDP Members Defect To The Ruling Party, APC

The Kebbi State All Progressives Congress (APC) organized a special reception ceremony in honour of decampees from Peoples Democratic Party.

The decampees led by the former Governor of the State, Alhaji Saidu Usman Nasamu Dakingari were received by the State APC leader, His Excellency Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu along with the APC National Vice Chairman North West Zone Barr Inuwa Abdulkadir.

Receiving the decampees, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu thanked Allah (SWT) for all the progress the state is recording under his watch. The Governor disclosed that the Wife of the Vice President was earlier in the state to attend a function organized by MALPAI Foundation with aim of assisting the less previleged and the needy.

The Governor extended the message of the Attorney General Abubakar Chika Malami and Senator Adamu Aliero whom both could not be there due to tight engagements.

He however on their behalf and the entire members of APC in Kebbi State welcomed the decampees adding that the event was already blessed the President Muhammadu Buhari who received the decampees last month in the Presidential Villa Abuja.

He called on all and sundry to contribute actively in making the State better and greater in the Country.

Governor Bagudu expressed his delight on the availability of abundant natural resources in all the 21 local governments in the state and called on all stakeholders to unite in tapping and utilizing the resources. He said with unity and patriotism, population is always a benefit and important catalyst of progress making an analogy with China whom despite their overwhelming population, they still progress tremendously in all aspects.

Speaking while receiving the decampees, Barr Inuwa Abdulkadir explained that the excellent performance and sustainable policies of the current government under the leadership of President Muhammad Buhari at National level and Senator Atiku Bagudu is the rationale behind the mass decamping to the APC.

In his remarks, the Kebbi State APC chairman Barr. Attahiru Maccido congratulated the decampees for joining the party of the masses and assured them that in APC all members are entitled to equal rights as provided by the principles of the party.

He added that, since the inception of party in the state no single member of APC decamped to another party.

While speaking at the ceremony, the leader of the decampees and former Governor of the State, Alh Saidu Usman Nasamu Dakingari appologized to the entire people of Kebbi State for the mistakes he committed in the past adding that he has personally forgiven who ever wronged him.

He charged the decampees to embrace peace, understanding and compliance to the laid down rules and regulations of their new party the APC.

He thanked God for uniting the good people and leaders of the state tasking the leaders of the party to continue to lead with justice and equity.

Some notable personalities among the decampees include Alh Ibrahim K Aliyu, Alh Rabi’u Koko, Alh Garba Rabiu Kamba, Garba Birnin Tudu , Alh Ibrahim Musa DanIllela, Alh Isah Argungu, Alh Saddiq Katikan Yauri, Hajia Halima Mai Buje, Alh Sani Kalgo, Durumbun Zuru among others.
