3 Brigade Partners With Abdullahi Yahaya Foundation On Food Support For Widows
The Commander, 3 Brigade Nigerian Army, Kano State, Brigadier General Ahmed Tukur, has donated food items to 60 widows of late soldiers at Bukavu Barracks.
The gesture which was designed to offer essential relief to the families of the fallen heroes was done in collaboration with Alhaji Abdullahi Yahaya Helping Hands Foundation. The donation took place on 27 February, 2025 at the 3 Brigade Auditorium, Bukavu Barracks in Kano.
In his remarks, the Commander 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ahmed Tukur noted that there is nothing that would be given to the widows that could substitute the place of their late husbands. The Commander encouraged the widows not to be deterred by the obvious challenges of widowhood but to remain resilient, courageous and prayerful at all times in order to remain strong pillars for the rest of the family.
Gen. Tukur further revealed that collaborating with the foundation is a variable option to compliment the existing efforts of the Brigade to reach out to widows.
Earlier, in his speech, the Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Abdullahi Yahaya Helping Hands Foundation thanked the Commander 3 Brigade for his support and invaluable contributions in the donation.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the General Mogajiya of the Bukavu Barrack, Mrs Chahyabuda Babangida, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Brigade Commander for his rare show of kindness by honouring the family members of the departed heroes.
