Madam Betinah Benson, mother to the Secretary to Bayelsa State Government (SSG), Rt. Hon. Konbowei Friday Benson, has regained freedom after spending 31 in captivity.
The police spokesman in Bayelsa State, SP Asinim Butswat, confirmed the development on Monday morning.
He however did not state if a ransom was paid to secure her release.
Recall that the 80-year old victim was abducted at her residence at the old legislative quarters in Yenagoa on July 21, was released on Sunday afternoon.
