ACG Orbih Inspects KLT Command, Emphasises Synergy, Professionalism
The Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘A’, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs (ACG), Charles Orbih, paid his first official visit to the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Area Command on Wednesday, 27 March 2025.
During his visit, the zonal coordinator underscored the importance of synergy between the Command and stakeholders, as well as diligence amongst officers.
In his words, “The success of our mandates, revenue generation, trade facilitation, and national security depends heavily on seamless collaboration. This synergy between commands in the zone and our partnership with our sister agencies must be strengthened to optimise our performance.”
He also assured officers that the challenges confronting the Command would be escalated to the Headquarters for necessary action.
The Customs Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Joy Edelduok welcomed the ACG and presented a report highlighting the Command’s revenue generation and trade facilitation achievements since she assumed leadership.
“Despite the low trade volume at the command, we were able to generate ₦35.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025. This actually represents over a 51% increase compared to the same period of 2024. This shows that we are really working hard to ensure the revenue target given to us for 2025 will be achieved by the grace of God”, she stated.
She reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to fostering strong collaborations with stakeholders and sister agencies, ensuring smooth operations within a safe, secure, and conducive working environment.
