Acting Commander Nigerian Army Education Corps Reaffirms Commitment To Excellence In Command Schools In Numan and Yola

The Acting Commander Nigerian Army Education Corps (CC Edn), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, recently, conducted an assessment visit to Command schools in Numan and Yola, Adamawa State, as part of his ongoing efforts to evaluate the state of infrastructure, administration and academic standards across Command Schools nationwide.

The tour commenced at Command Science Secondary School (CSSS) Numan, where he was received alongside Dr Aguso H. Bamaiyi, Acting District Head Gyawana and Representative of the Hama Bachama of Numan Dr Daniel Shaga Ismaila PhD CON. The engagement focused on assessing the overall condition of the institution and identifying priority areas for strategic intervention to enhance performance.

During the interactive session with the general Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Chairman Numan, and members of the School’s PTA as well as Staff, Brigadier General Ahmed examine prevailing challenges and outlined practical measures aimed at repositioned the school for improved academic excellence and infrastructural development. He reaffirmed the Corps’s unwavering commitment to continues advancement of Command Schools.

The Acting CC Edn, also paid a courtesy visit to the Hama Bachama of Numan, expressing appreciation for the traditional support of the traditional institution’s sustained support towards the stability and development of the school.

Relatedly, the Acting CC Edn met with the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, to deliberate on collaborative strategies to further elevate the educational standards in Command schools within the state. The engagement highlighted the critical importance of synergy between the Nigerian Army and the Adamawa State government in promoting quality education.

Additionally, General Ahmed, also visited the Commander 23 Brigade Yola, Brigadier General AO Agwu where discussions centred on reinforcing the security architecture of the schools to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for staff and students. At Command Day Secondary School (CDSS) Yola, the Acting CC Edn engaged with the PTA leaders and staff to review operational challenges and articulate forward-looking measures aligned with his vision for sustained institutional growth.

The assessment tour concluded at Command Day Secondary School (CDSS) Yola (Main and Annex), where the Acting CC Edn inspected facilities and commended staff for their dedication and professionalism.

The visits culminated with the presentation of souvenirs, signing of the visitor’s book, tour of facilities, and group photograph, underscoring the Corps’s sustained commitment to enhancing academic standards, improving infrastructure and strengthening stakeholders collaboration across Command Schools in Nigeria.
