Acting Commander Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai Assures National Human Rights Commission Of Continued Cooperation

The Acting Commander Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai / Commander 23 Armour Brigade, Brigadier General Amechi Agwu has assured the National Human Rights Commission of Nigeria ( NHRCN) Adamawa State Chapter of the Sector’s commitment to work closely with the NHRCN to promote respect for human rights in the Sector operations.

The Acting Commander stated this on Wednesday 8 October 2025 during the courtesy visit of the Acting State Coordinator of the Commission, Adamawa State Chapter, Mrs Grace Mamza to the Headquarters 23 Brigade.

Brigadier General Agwu acknowledged the importance of the NHRCN in the military operations, emphasizing on sustaining the existing synergy between the Sector and the Commission.

He thanked the Acting State Coordinator for finding time to visit the Sector, adding that the door of the Sector is open to welcome constructive criticism that would enhance the collective success of the military operations.

In her remarks, the Acting State Coordinator NHRCN Adamawa State Chapter, Mrs Mamza appreciated Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai/ 23 Brigade for its openness and efforts in building on the existing synergy between the Commission and the Sector.

She explained that the NHRCN is not a witch hunting organization but a Commission that ensures that all citizens’ rights are protected.

Mrs Mamza stated that the visit was aimed at familiarizing with the Acting Commander Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai/ Commander 23 Brigade and to inform the Commander of the Commission’s active presence in the State to protect all citizens’ rights.

Highlights of the visit were signing of the visitor’s book, presentation of souvenir to the Acting State Coordinator by the Acting Commander and taking of group photographs to mark the end of the visit.
