Acting Commander Sector 4 OPHK Restates Sector’s Commitment To Protect All Law Abiding Residents
The Acting Commander Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai/ Commander 23 Brigade ( Ag Comd Sect 4 OPHK/ Comd 23 Bde) Brigadier General Amechi Agwu has restated the Sector’s commitment to protecting all law abiding residents including staff of humanitarian agencies within its Area of Responsibility.
Brigadier General Agwu stated this during the courtesy visit of the Head of Sub Delegation (HSD), International Committee of the Red Cross, (ICRC), Mubi, Mr Chadi Sidhom to Headquarters 23 Brigade ( HQ 23 Bde) on Tuesday 3 February 2026.
The Ag Comd Sect 4 OPHK/ Comd 23 Bde assured the ICRC of the Sector’s cooperation and provision of necessary assistance to enable the ICRC carry out its operations effectively, adding that the Sector places premium on security of the United Nations affiliated agencies, other Non Governmental Organizations and all law abiding residents within the Sector’s Area of Responsibility.
Brigadier General Agwu however urged the HSD, ICRC Mubi to feel free to interact with the Sector in the course of the ICRC’s operations, emphasizing that the Sector would continue to provide an enabling environment in terms of security and cooperation.
Speaking earlier during his remarks, the HSD, ICRC Mubi, Mr Chadi Sidhom commended the Sector for the good job in providing security for the good people of Adamawa and its environs.
He said he was in the HQ 23 Bde to sustain the cordial working relationships between the ICRC Mubi and Sector 4 OPHK and to officially introduce himself to the Sector as the HSD, of the ICRC, Mubi.
Highlights of the visit were signing of the visitor’s book, exchange of Souvenirs between the Ag Comd Sect 4 OPHK/ Comd 23 Bde and HSD, ICRC Mubi and taking of the group photograph to mark the end of the visit.
