Angelina Jolie Files For Divorce From Brad Pitt After 12-Year Old Marriage

According to court documents, Jolie filed the legal documents on Monday, 19 September to end her 2-year marriage to the 52-year-old actor, citing irreconcilable differences.

TMZ claims that sources close to the couple revealed that there was no cheating between them and the Tomb Raider actress’ decision to call it quits is solely because she did not subscribe to Pitt’s parenting methods.

Angelina Jolie does not want spousal support and is requesting physical custody of all 6 children. She has asked the court to only grant Pitt visitation rights. They will however share joint custody of the children.

The couple who got married in August 2014 kicked off their relationship after they wrapped up filming of the 2004 flick- Mr and Mrs Smith.

Many people speculated that they were carrying on an affair while filming. But Jolie and Pitt denied it, saying they only got together afterwards.

Brad Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston at that time and the rumour of the affair with his co-star contributed to the end of their marriage. Aniston is now married to Justin Theroux.
