Anti-Graft War: Magu Charges Bureaux de Change Operators
The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has said that the Commission will not hesitate to prosecute any bureau de change operator caught involved in illicit financial transactions.
“You must report any suspicious or illicit transanction by any politician most especially during this election period,” he said.
Magu gave the charge during a meeting with bureaus de change operators at the EFCC Kaduna Zonal Office on February 12, 2019.
He further warned them to “stop aiding corrupt practices”.
“We will not hesitate in prosecuting anyone found wanting,” he added.
Responding, Chairman, Bureaux de Change operators, Kaduna State Chapter, Dalhatu Jumare, expressed the association’s readiness to work with the EFCC in the fight against corruption.
“The fight is not only for the EFCC, but for all Nigerians,” he said.
