Apple Music Reportedly Paid Drake $20 Million for New Album ‘More Life’
Canadian rapper Drake is reportedly smiling all the way to the bank with his new music.
According to reports, the 30-year-old rapper was paid a whopping sum of $20 million by Apple Music for exclusivity to his new album, More Life which is set to drop on March 18.
But could this be a new deal?

Drake is said to have signed with the streaming service last year for $19 million and the deal includes him promoting Apple Music and exclusivity to his work including streaming of Views. Recall sometime in 2015, Apple and Jay Z’s streaming service, Tidal were at war over Drake after Apple warned Tidal not to stream His performance at a New Orleans charity event which also headlined Tidal’s artiste’ Lil Wayne.
So if the streaming service gave the OVO sound rapper a new deal, then this is fantastic news!
Drake’s More Life, a 20-track album, is expected to be an Apple exclusive for two weeks, a period of exclusivity that the company expects will net them 1,000,000 new subscribers.
