Armed Forces Command and Staff College Graduates Students Of SC 46

The Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Nigeria, graduated 240 Students of Senior Course 46 on 27 July, 2024 at the AVM AO Ogundana Officers’ Mess in Jaji Military Cantonment. In his welcome address, the Commandant AFCSC, Air Vice Marshal HI Alhaji, welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude for their presence.

He emphasized the significant role of the College in training military leaders since its inception in 1976. “Today, we celebrate the achievements of 240 officers who have completed 50 weeks of intense training and academic activities. The course is designed to upskill officers and prepare them for higher command and staff responsibilities” he said.

The Special Guest of Honour President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who was represented by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Gwabin Musa, commended the College’s dedication to professional development and its pivotal role in shaping the careers of mid-level officers.

“The AFCSC provides a veritable platform for training members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and fosters invaluable networking opportunities for future operations and collaborations” he stated.

The CDS further harped on the presence of international officers from African countries, underscoring the importance of cooperation in addressing trans-border security challenges. Thereafter, he urged them to use their training and promote peace and security within Nigeria and across Africa.

As part of the activities marking the Ceremony, the CDS also commissioned the newly remodeled and refurnished Department of Joint Studies (DJS) complex which was named after him as General CG Musa Complex and expected to further enhance the College’s infrastructure and capacity to train future military leaders.
