Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2025: NAOWA Members Join Other Muslim Faithful At Special Juma’at Service, Offer Prayers For Fallen Heroes
Members of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), led by the representative of the President NAOWA, Mrs Salma Garba, wife of the Provost Marshal (Army) Major General A Garba, were among several distinguished personalities in attendance at a special juma’at service organized as one of the activities to mark the Year 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
The solemn event which took place on Friday, 10 January 2025 at the National Mosque, Abuja, had in attendance several distinguished and eminent persons, prominent amongst which was the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR).
Also in attendance were a number of high-ranking government officials, including the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, His Excellency, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle, representative of the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General OO Oluyede, ably represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans (Army) Major General AB Ibrahim, the representative of the Chief of Naval Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal HB Abubabar, and other senior military officers from the Defence and services Headquarters.
Also in attendance were members of DEPOWA, NAOWA, NAFOWA, NOWA, POWA, as well as representatives from other sister agencies.
Highlights of the solemn event were the sermon and special prayers offered for the eternal rest of fallen heroes, as well as group photographs.
