Intelligence has gathered that bandits have abducted a Monarch in Jigawa State.
The victim, Alh. Kabiru Ahmad, was abducted around 3pm on Sunday September 5 at his residence in Taura LGA of Jigawa State.
Sources say the assailants, numbering about 50, invaded the community on motorcycles, went straight to his residence, and whisked the 60-year old monarch to an unknown destination.
The gunmen also ambushed and opened fire on a police patrol team setting their vehicle ablaze in Taura LGA.
