Intelligence have gathered that bandits abducted twelve Muslim worshippers while observing prayers at a mosque located in the outskirt of Jibiya town of Katsina State.
Sources say the assailants invaded the Mosque around 2am-midnight, shot sporadically, before whisking the abductees away into a forest.
Jibya town has become a hotbed for banditry attacks in recent weeks. Days ago, 40 Muslim worshippers were abducted by gunmen in the area but 28 managed to escape.
