Big Brother Naija returns after 10-year hiatus
The Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, has announced the return of the popular reality TV Show, Big Brother Naija.
He says the return is based on popular demand by people who wanted it back on the airwaves.
Meanwhile, the auditions for the second instalment of the reality TV series, sponsored by PayPorte, will hold on November 26 and 27 at the Westown Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
A statement by the organisers also notes that interested applicants must be over 21 years and have a valid Nigerian passport in order to be selected as part of the twelve housemates for the competition.
The Big Brother Naija show will be aired on dedicated event channels on DStv and GOtv in January 2017.
The first edition of the show aired on DStv Channel 37 from March 5 to June 4, 2006.The screening saw 12 housemates vie for the coveted $100,000 prize money by performing various mental and physical tasks.
At the end of the three-month stay in the house, Katung Aduwak emerged winner. Other notable stars such as Africa Magic’s Tinsel actor, Gideon Okeke, and TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, are the two biggest breakout stars from the reality show.
