Bonang Matheba Awards 5 Lucky Students with Special Bursary Fund

South Africans on social media are currently celebrating some of their citizens who have just made the list of the 2017 Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund.

The South African media queen took to Instagram to announce the lucky students she’s awarding the prizes this year – a fund she launched late 2016 following the R6500 donation she made to a student who could not afford her registration fees.

Times SA reports that the media super star gave out a huge donation after another female called in during her Metro FM show, asking for help. Not long after, Bonang Matheba made a call for females who have at least a Matric certificate, or are in Grade 12, to apply for her special fund and stand the chance ‘to be awarded one of 10 bursaries to study at any Boston College’ in South Africa.

Submissions rolled in and closed September 20, 2016. And now the superstar has revealed the lucky students who made the inaugural list.

She wrote this moments ago on her Instagram:
