BREAKING: GUNMEN ATTACK POLICE STATIONS IN ANAMBRA, ABIA

Gunmen on Monday simultaneously attacked and razed police stations in Anambra and Abia state.

Intelligence gathered that a large number of gunmen attacked and razed Zone 13 Police Command Headquarters in Ukpo, Danukofia local government area of Anambra state and also that of the Uzoakoli Police Station in Bender local government area in Abia state.

Monday’s incident is the most recent of a series of attacks on security operatives in the South East.

Earlier in the month, gunmen attacked the police headquarters in Owerri, Imo state as well as the Correctional facility in the state and set over 1800 inmates free.

The Police claimed that the members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra and the Eastern Security Network were responsible for the attacks.

Members of the ESN have however refuted the claim.
