Brig Gen Udeyebo Decorates Newly Promoted Officers To The Rank Of Captain
The Commander 4 Brigade Nigerian Army Brigadier General Ebenezer Oduyebo has today 28 July 2025, decorated officers who benefited from the recently promotion for the rank of Captain. The event, which was attended by senior officers, friends, families of the beneficiaries, and staff officers of 4 Brigade Headquarters, took place at the Tiger 4 officer mess, Benin City.
In his address, Brigadier General Udeyebo congratulated the newly promoted officers for attaining a Higher milestone in their careers, reminding them that promotion is not only a reward for past performance but also a challenge to live up to greater responsibilities. He described the journey to higher ranks as increasingly competitive, stressing that performance in professional courses and exams will play a key role in the officers’ while his career progress .
Gen Udeyebo, urged the officers to be ambassador of the Nigerian Army and maintain regimentation, professionalism, and always put the best for good grades in military courses, and also try to console your superior anything is not clear so, that most decisions about an officer’s progression are based on their service records. He further expressed appreciation to the families of the celebrants for their unwavering support, adding that the role they play on the home front gives the officers the will and emotional stability they need to perform their role as a leader.
In his vote of thanks, Captain Yusuf Ozegya, on behalf of his colleagues, expressed their appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff and the entire leadership to the Army for finding us worthy of this promotion we assure you that we will not relent but continue to give in our best to the system and ensure that the core values of the NA is Sustain at all cost.
