Bring Clarity To Uncertainty, Foresight To Decision Making – CAS Charges Graduands
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has urged officers of the Regimental Intelligence and Security Officers Course 4/2025 to bring clarity, foresight, and resilience to their roles as intelligence professionals. Speaking during their graduation ceremony on 11 July 2025 at the Nigerian Air Force School of Air Intelligence, Makurdi, the CAS emphasized the critical role of intelligence in addressing the dynamic nature of national security threats and enhancing the effectiveness of NAF operations across the country.
He highlighted that the rise of asymmetric threats from non-state actors, criminal networks, and internal saboteurs has necessitated a shift towards intelligence-led, proactive operations. The comprehensive course, which covered intelligence collection, analysis, dissemination, and counterintelligence, drew participants from various NAF branches, thereby fostering inter-branch synergy and closing intelligence gaps across operational theatres and bases.
Air Marshal Abubakar commended the Commandant and staff of the School of Air Intelligence for their professionalism and dedication, and expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his steadfast support to the Nigerian Air Force. He reaffirmed the Service’s resolve to continue strengthening its intelligence capacity in alignment with its constitutional mandate and ongoing efforts to stay ahead of adversaries in an increasingly complex and volatile security environment.
