Bruno Mars, Future, Trey Songz to Perform at 2017 BET Awards
At best, the BET Awards continues to hold the title as my favorite award ceremony on television and with Leslie Jones leading this year’s festivities, I’m thinking floor rolling howling laughs, at worst. But A-List performers will also be in the building.
Bruno Mars, Future, Migos, Trey Songz, and Tamar Braxton are among the performers for this year’s showcase on June 25 at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater. Additionally, Yara Shahidi, Cardi B, Issa Rae, Jamie Foxx, La La Anthony, Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Trevor Noah will highlight as this year’s presenters. More performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
THANK YOU @BETAwards ! WHAT AN HONOR!

Queen Bey, as per usual, leads with seven nominations including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration (“Freedom” with Kendrick Lamar), Video of the Year (“Sorry”), and Album of the Year (LEMONADE). Bruno Mars follows up with five, including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Video of the Year (“24K Magic”), and Album of the Year (24K Magic) while Chance the Rapper, Solange and Migos tie with four nominations a piece. Talk about stiff competition!
This year’s show will also be part of the BET Experience at L.A. Live, which is set to run from June 22 – June 25, and will include guest appearances from from Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Jhené Aiko, Bryson Tiller and more.
The BET Awards will air live on June 25 at 8 p.m. ET. Save the date!
