‘I Can’t Wait to Get to Lagos!’-American Singer Keri Hilson Talks Finding Talent in Nigeria and Jollof Rice

In a few weeks, Keri Hilson will storm Nigeria for the Airtel Trace Star show, but the ‘Knock You Down’ singer is already itching to visit and it isn’t just because she will help in discovering the next top star in the country; she yearns for jollof rice.

“Man! I can’t wait to get back to #Lagos to see & hear all the talent from the AirtelTraceMS competition first hand,” she tweeted today, adding, ‘Oh, and jollof [rice].’

The Airtel Trace Star is the competition organised by telecoms giant, Airtel and music house, Trace Music channel. It is currently in its second second season.

Media mogul Olisa Adibua and Lara George are this year’s judges, and the finale which will see a confluence of talents from Congo DRC, Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania, will be held in Lagos. The Pan-African winner stands a chance to work with the American Singing Sensation Keri Hilson, plus a cash price of Five Million Naira. (N5,000,000).

So, it’s count down to the month of June this year, but Hilson can’t help hide her excitement for Nigerian food. And what do her fans think of this?
