Cardi B Accuses Police Of Racism After Been Kicked Out Of Hotel For ‘Smoking Weed’

Cardi B claims that an Albany, N.Y. hotel that kicked her and her team out after smelling weed blamed the wrong room.

The 25-year-old “Bodak Yellow” singer said that she had been kicked out of the Hilton Albany early Sunday morning after complaints about the smell of marijuana.

“The floor that I was staying in in my hotel room, it smelled like weed. So the cops came in the middle of the night, knocking on my manager and on my door, talking about that we were smoking weed and we gotta get kicked out,” the former “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star said in an Instagram video.

“Now, if you know me, I don’t even talk about smoking weed because everybody knows that I do not smoke weed. I get very paranoid and none of my team members smoke weed. If they was to kick us out for something else, all right, but for weed? I’m not taking that because we do not smoke. I could get, we could all get drug-tested, nobody smokes. Nobody smokes, especially when I’m sleeping and I’m wild sick.”

TMZ video showed Cardi B, who performed at the Times Union Center Saturday night, leaving the hotel early Sunday and shouting “racist motherf–kers.”

“You’re not going to do that to me. Mind you, everyone on the floor was Caucasian,” she said in the Instagram video. “But you wanna kick us out? F–k out of here. I will not.”

She also said the city is “known for being racist.”

A spokesman for the Albany police told the Daily News that officers responded to the hotel around 1 a.m. after being called by hotel management about “an odor of marijuana and loud party on the second floor.”

“They may have been a little loud, which is something they even acknowledged with the officers,” public information officer Steven A. Smith told The News.

“When the officers arrived at the second floor room, Cardi B’s crew and manager were already preparing to pack up and leave the hotel, because they were informed to do so by hotel management prior to the police arriving.”

Smith, who said the singer’s team were cooperative, said that officers escorted Cardi B’s group to the lobby, at which point her manager went back upstairs alone to wake up the singer.

“She was rightfully upset with hotel staff, who again made the decision they had to leave,” Smith told The News.

A source told Us Weekly that the Bronx native and her team “were the only people of color on the floor.”

The hotel declined to comment when reached by The News.
