CAS Reaffirms NAF’s Commitment To Support National Defence College

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) unwavering commitment to supporting the National Defence College (NDC) in fulfilling its mandate of developing strategic-level officers for national and international assignments. The Air Chief emphasized that the College remains a vital institution in shaping the leadership, policy, and operational capacity of Nigeria’s Armed Forces and other security agencies.

Air Marshal Aneke gave the assurance when the Commandant of the College, Rear Admiral Abdullahi Ahmed, paid him a courtesy visit on 12 November 2025 at Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Abuja. While commending the Commandant for his visionary leadership and the sustained culture of academic excellence at the College, the CAS assured that the NAF would continue, within available resources, to provide the necessary support to enable the College effectively discharge its responsibilities.

Earlier, Rear Admiral Ahmed expressed appreciation to the CAS for his continued partnership and goodwill, noting that the visit was aimed at strengthening the enduring collaboration between the NAF and the NDC. He particularly thanked the Air Chief for approving the use of NAF aircraft to convey participants on the College’s recent study tour, describing the gesture as timely and impactful. Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing professional military education and strategic cooperation in support of national security objectives.
