Celebrities Support Leslie Jones as Hackers Post Her Nudes Online
In retaliation for reporting right wing British journalist Milo Yiannopoulos to Twitter, Leslie Jones’ website was hacked and her personal information and nudes were released online on Wednesday.
The vicious hecklers posted several personal photos from her iCloud account, which include several nude shots as well as pictures of her passport and driver’s license.
The “Ghostbusters” star’s phone number and password to her Twitter account were also displayed.
Her website-www.JustLeslie.com has been shut down following the attack.
The trolls also posted a tribute video of Harambe – the gorilla who was shot dead at the Cincinnati Zoo earlier in the summer – at the top of the website.
They likened her to the animal.
This is linked to the racially charged harassment Jones received on Twitter last month after Yiannopoulos’ scathing review of her new movie-Ghostbusters.
The review incited the nasty and very brutal cyber attack she underwent leaving Jones to call out Twitter for its inability to filter hateful content.
Twitter responded by permanently suspending Yiannopoulos’ account.
In a statement to CNNMoney on Wednesday, Yiannopoulos who works as a Tech editor at the conservative news site Breitbart noted he was not too pleased about the incident.
“I’m distressed to hear that Leslie Jones has been hacked and naked pictures of her have been posted online,” he said.
The SNL star’s page itself has now been deleted, with the link in her Twitter bio now leading to an advert for web hosting service Go Daddy.
The cyber war on the comedian seems to be far from over but Jones has been flooded with an overwhelming wave of support from celebrities like Octavia Spencer, Katy Perry and others.
The hashtag- #IStandWithLeslie is currently trending on Twitter and many stars have urged their fans to refrain from viewing Leslie’s naked pictures as a show of solidarity.
This @Lesdoggg attack is troubling. The rampant racism percolating in society right now is shameful and sad. She made a movie, that's it!

FYI sharing stolen intimate photos like @Lesdoggg 's is illegal. You are participating in a sex crime.
