CGC Adeniyi Hosts Outgoing Corps Members, Applauds Their Productive Service Year
The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, on Thursday, 6 June 2024, at the Nigeria Customs Service headquarters in Abuja, receives the Batch “B” 2023/2024 session Corps Members Serving with the service.
The CGC applauded them for their diligence throughout their service year. He also said he felt honoured by the Corpers, who congratulated him on his appointment.
The CGC, while addressing the NCS Corps members, emphasised the importance of a good and productive service year, acknowledging their resilience and congratulating them in advance as they prepare for their passing out parade.
The Customs Boss said, “Whenever I have the opportunity to talk about passing out, most goodbyes are just a stepping stone to knock and say we are back again. We already have you as family members and look forward to maintaining the bond that has brought us together”.
He said, “You mentioned that you have spent a year ably, so there is some kind of experience that you can rely on which stands a better chance when recruitment is on”.
Speaking earlier, Josephine Akubo, the President of Batch “B” 2023/2024 session of NCS Corps Members, expressed her gratitude while stating that she counts it a great privilege for the opportunity given to them by the CGC to serve.
She further thanked CGC Adewale Adeniyi for giving them a fair and favourable working environment to acquire experience and showcase their potential.
