
CGC Extends Condolences to Katsina Governor on Mother’s Demise
The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adeniyi, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umar Radda, on the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u.
Represented by the Customs Area Controller of Katsina Command, Comptroller Abba-Aji Idriss, the CGC expressed deep sorrow during a condolence visit on Tuesday, 25 March 2025. He sympathised with Governor Radda, his family, and the people of Katsina State, acknowledging the profound impact of a mother’s role in shaping a leader’s life.
“The loss of a mother is an immeasurable sorrow, not only for the immediate family but also for the state and the nation at large,” the CGC noted in his message. He prayed for the repose of Hajiya Safara’u’s soul and encouraged the family to find solace in the legacy of love, compassion, and service she left behind.
In the same vein, the Nigeria Customs Service, Katsina Area Command, reaffirmed its solidarity with the Katsina State government during this mourning period, emphasising the importance of unity and support in times of grief.
