Change Of Command: Brigadier General AO Balogun Assumes Leadership Of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army

In a significant development, Brigadier General AO Balogun has assumed command as the 44th Commander of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, marking a new chapter in the history of the Brigade. The handing-over ceremony, held at the Headquarters 4 Brigade, Benin City, Edo State, on December 1, 2025, saw the outgoing Commander, Brigadier General Ebenezer Oduyebo, pass on the baton to Brigadier General Balogun.

Brigadier General Oduyebo expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General W Shaibu, for the opportunity to serve as Commander and highlighted his experiences, challenges, and successes during his tenure. He thanked officers and soldiers of the Brigade for their support and cooperation, urging them to extend the same to the new Commander.
