Chief Of Air Staff Assess Operational Readiness and Infrastructure At Nigerian Air Force Units In Enugu, Port Harcourt

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, on 5 October 2024 embarked on an operational tour of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) units in Enugu and Port Harcourt. His goal was to assess operational readiness and infrastructural development, with a view to boost efficiency and effectiveness. Units toured include the 405 Helicopter Combat Training Group and the International Helicopter Flying School both in Enugu, as well as the 115 Special Operations Group in Port Harcourt.

During the visit, the CAS interacted with personnel, emphasised maintaining high preparedness levels, and assured of his commitment to prioritising developmental projects and procurement of critical support resources. This demonstrates his determination to enhance NAF’s airpower capabilities through strategic infrastructure upgrades as well as robust operational, logistics and welfare support.
