Chief Of Air Staff Assesses Security Infrastructure In Kebbi State, Assures Readiness To Protect Lives and Property

In a strategic move to bolster regional security, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, paid an operational visit to Kebbi State on August 10, 2025. During the visit, the CAS engaged with top military commanders, heads of other security agencies, and government officials, and conducted an inspection of key military facilities, underscoring the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) readiness to respond decisively to threats in the North-West.

Meeting with Governor Mohammed Nasir Idris and the Kebbi State Executive Council, Air Marshal Abubakar highlighted the state’s critical role in national security due to its vast terrain and international borders. He assured citizens of NAF’s unwavering resolve to eliminate criminal elements and safeguard lives and property. “Nigeria must be secure for development to thrive,” he affirmed.

The CAS also commended the strong inter-agency collaboration and operational preparedness in the state. The visit reaffirms NAF’s strategic commitment to national defence through employment of air power, intelligence, and partnerships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure the protection of lives and properties of Nigerians.
