Chief Of Air Staff Commits To Decent Homes For Troops

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to personnel welfare by investing in quality residential infrastructure, recognising housing not just as a necessity, but as a strategic enabler of motivation, cohesion, and operational excellence.

While in Kaduna, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, commissioned several new residential projects, including a block of 10 one-bedroom instructors’ quarters at the Military Training Centre, NAF Base Kaduna. Also inaugurated were a block of 30 one-bedroom quarters for married Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and a block of 12 one-bedroom transit quarters for single officers at Barkallahu.

“These projects reflect our unwavering commitment to the well-being of our officers, airmen, and airwomen,” the CAS declared. “Welfare remains central to my command philosophy.”

More than addressing the immediate demand for decent accommodation, the initiative signals the NAF’s holistic approach to strengthening professional capacity, instilling a deep sense of belonging, and equipping personnel to deliver on their constitutional mandate with distinction.

By continuously expanding its infrastructure base, the NAF is investing not only in buildings, but in pride, performance, and the enduring spirit of national service.
