Chief Of Air Staff Fetes Frontline Troops Of Operation Fansan Yamma At NAF Base Katsina

In keeping with the tradition of celebrating festive seasons with frontline troops, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, hosted a special Christmas Luncheon for personnel of Operation FANSAN YAMMA at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base Katsina on 25 December 2024. The event was held to appreciate the troops for their sacrifices and boost their morale during the festive season, particularly for those unable to celebrate with their families due to operational commitments.

Representing the CAS at the event, the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Special Operations Command (SOC), Air Vice Marshal (AVM) EE Effiom expressed profound gratitude to the personnel for their relentless efforts in combating security challenges within the region. He highlighted the luncheon as a testament to the NAF’s appreciation of their dedication and a reaffirmation of the Service’s commitment to their welfare. He further encouraged them to maintain the current operational momentum to ensure the attainment of lasting peace and security in the area.

The Special Guest of Honour, Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Farouk Lawal Jobe, commended the NAF for its invaluable contributions to restoring peace in the state. He reassured the gathering of the state government’s steadfast support in addressing prevailing security challenges.

The Christmas Luncheon provided an opportunity to foster camaraderie among the troops while underscoring the CAS’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of NAF personnel serving in various operational theatres across the nation.
