
Chief Of Defence Space Administration Pays Operational Visit To Operation Hadin Kai
The Chief of Defence Space Administration (CDSA) Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Lanre Oluwatoyin today 1 May 2025, paid an operational visit to Theatre Command Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) in Maiduguri, Borno State. He was accompanied by the Directors of Navigation Positioning and Timing and Earth Observation.
During the visit, briefs on operational activities of OPHK and DSA were presented, leading to a robust interactive session. The CDSA stated that the purpose of the visit was to interact and see how DSA could be more functional in terms of supporting operations.
AVM Oluwatoyin noted that the organisation had recently been inundated with requests, hence its decision to embark on a visit to Theatres of operations. He further mentioned that the Council had recently approved the setting up of modular earth observation centres across all Theatres of operations.
The CDSA called for synergy in achieving set objectives and assured OPHK of the organisation’s support for operations. He commended the Theatre Commander, officers, and men of OPHK for the good job they were doing for the nation.
In his remarks, the Theatre Commander Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar thanked the CDSA and his team for the visit. He praised AVM Oluwatoyin for his passion, patriotism, and tenacious attitude geared towards enhancing national security. General Abubakar emphasized the importance of DSA’s support for OPHK’s operations, noting that space products have become an essential component of modern military operations.
The visit concluded with the endorsement of the visitor’s book, exchange of plaques, and group photographs.
