Chief Of Naval Engineering Embarks On Tour Of Naval Engineering Units and Nigerian Navy Ships

The Chief of Naval Engineering (CONE), Rear Admiral B Iyalla embarked on a tour of Naval Engineering Units and Nigerian Navy (NN) ships in Lagos Area and Central Naval Command Area from 2 – 9 April 2025. This purpose of the tour is to provide the CONE the opportunity for on-the-spot assessment of the ships and engineering units as well as their challenges and requirements for enhanced output.

The tour commenced with a courtesy call on the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral MG Oamen. Also, the CONE visited the Naval Dockyard Limited, Admiralty Marine Services Limited, Naval Engineering Services Limited, Fleet Support Group (FSG) WEST, Fleet Support Unit (FSU) BEECROFT, NN ships alongside BEECROFT Jetty, Naval Air Base and Helicopter Support Group in Lagos State.

Lastly, The CONE paid a Courtesy Call on the Flag Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Rear Admiral OO Fadeyi before commencing tour of Central Naval Command Area of Responsibility which included visits to Naval Institute of Technology, FSG CENTRAL, FSU DELTA, NN ships at NPA Jetty and Helicopter Support Unit, Effurun, Delta State.
