Chief Of Naval Safety and Standards Visits Nigerian Navy Contingents In Operation Safe Haven Jos
Chief of Naval Safety and Standards (CNASS), Rear Admiral AM Ibrahim visited the naval contingent deployed in Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Jos. The visit was part of the annual activities conducted by Naval Headquarters to Nigerian Navy (NN) contingents deployed in all Defence Headquarters Led operations. During the visit, the CNASS expressed his satisfaction with the efforts of OPSH towards restoring peace and security in the joint Area of Operations. He further reiterated the continuous support of the NN to the leadership of OPHS in achieving its mandate.
The CNASS also interacted with NN troops who were recently rotated. He enjoined them to be disciplined, shun criminality, avoid drug abuse and restrict involvement in settling civil disputes among civilians such as debt recovery and other matters which are statutory responsibilities of the Nigeria Police Force. The CNASS delivered the CNS goodwill message to the troops, acknowledging their contribution to the overall success of the Operation. He also stated that the CNS wished the troops well in the Yuletide season.
The CNASS was accompanied by the Director of Operations Rear Admiral PS Anabraba, SO1 Operations Commamder JU Abdullahi and LeadingSeaman Arona SC.
