Chief Of Naval Staff Attends Graduation Ceremony Of Junior Course 97 Of Armed Forces Command and Staff College As SGOH
The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla was the Special Guest of Honour (SGOH) at the Graduation Ceremony of Junior Course 97 (JC 97) of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Nigeria (AFCSC) on Saturday 15 June 2024.
A total of 361 junior officers of Captain/Lieutenant/Flight Lieutenant rank in the Nigerian Army/Navy/Airforce including 14 international officers from 10 African nations were among the successful graduates. The international students came from Burkina-Faso 🇧🇫, Cameroon 🇨🇲, DRC 🇨🇩, Congo 🇨🇬, Eswatini 🇸🇿, Gambia🇬🇲, Sierra Leone 🇸🇱, Togo 🇹🇬, Mali 🇲🇱 & Zimbabwe 🇿🇼.
The best graduating student was Lieutenant Ifeanyi Owubajo, a female Nigerian Navy officer.
In his speech, the SGOH reminisced on when he underwent the same course 23 years ago and told the graduates that the course would be a pillar for progress in their careers. He also enjoined the graduates to conduct themselves in accordance with professional knowledge and staff training they have received. The SGOH thanked the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for his continuous support to the Armed Forces in the discharge of the constitutional roles.
He also congratulated the Commandant AFCSC, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Idris Alhaji, staff and entire college community for improving on the previously high standards of excellence in the College.
The ceremony was exciting, and bright and all the graduates exuded an air of relief, self-fulfillment & achievement having endured the rigours of the course successfully.
The ceremony ended with a group photograph.
