Chief Of Naval Staff Flags Off Exercise Obangame Express 2024
The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral EI Ogalla, was represented by Chief of Training and Operations, Rear Admiral EO Ferreira at the Flag-Off Ceremony of EXERCISE OBANGAME EXPRESS 2024 onboard Nigerian Navy Ship KADA in Onne, Rivers State on Friday 10 May 2024.
The Exercise is an International Maritime collaborative effort by navies of the USA, Spain, Brazil, France, Tunisia, Ghana, Cameroon and other West African states. The aim is to enhance security in the Gulf of Guinea and foster collaboration among navies within the regional block and allied nations.
The Exercise will span 7 days, and the Nigerian Navy has deployed the largest fleet of all participating nations comprising; 8 elite Warships, 2 Helicopters and the Special Boat Service were for the exercise.
