So many gems of thought from keynote speaker and author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. For example: “There is something wonderful and affirming about reading about your own reality but it is equally affirming to read about people not like you.” #NCTE18 pic.twitter.com/xOi6KcdqrX

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was amazing! “Life is messy. Sometimes discomfort opens us up to growth.” Yes! We need to get uncomfortable and talk about racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, xenophobia, and all forms of discrimination if we want to make change! @ncte #NCTE18 pic.twitter.com/Q8zwq68NMz
