CIC Decorates Newly Promoted Senior Officers, Soldiers Harps On Discipline, Dedication
The Commander Infantry Corps (CIC) Nigerian Army (NA) Major General Olufemi Oluyede has admonished the newly promoted senior officers and soldiers of the Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre (HQ ICC) to remain committed, disciplined and dedicated to duty.
Major General Oluyede stated this during the investiture ceremony of the senior officers and soldiers held at the HQ ICC’s Conference Room and Canteen respectively on Thursday 26 October 2023.
The CIC urged them to embark on self appraisal and character checks while carrying out their duties, emphasising on the need for them to add value to the NA wherever they find themselves.
The Commander used the occasion to thank the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for finding the newly promoted senior officers and soldiers worthy of elevation to their new ranks.
The CIC also expressed his appreciation to the wives of the newly decorated soldiers for their support and encouragement to their husbands and their natural abilities to take care of their various homes.
The newly promoted senior officers are Lieutenant Colonel SJ Dauda and GG Ademua who were promoted from the ranks of Major to Lieutenant Colonel.
A total of 31 soldiers were decorated with their new badges of rank ranging from Lance Corporal to Warrant Officer.
