Commandant NACOLM and Director Of Investigation and Enforcement NAFDAC Visits GOC 81 Division

The Commandant, Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Major General AC Adetoba, paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, at Headquarters 81 Division, Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos, on 23 September 2025. The visit was part of his familiarization tour of units and formations within the Division’s Area of Responsibility (AOR).

During the visit, Major General Adetoba stated that the purpose of his visit was to strengthen collaboration and seek continuous support from 81 Division. He highlighted the importance of building on existing partnerships that have contributed to the success of the College.

In his remarks , the GOC welcomed the Commandant and congratulated him on his new appointment, assuring him of the Division’s continued support.

In particular, the GOC reassured the Commandant that the Division will continue to support the training activities and exercises concluded by the College towards achieving its mandate.

In a separate but related development, Mr Martins Iluyomade fsi, Director of Investigation and Enforcement Directorate (IED) at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), paid a courtesy visit on the GOC accompanied by his management team. Mr Iluyomade who also doubles as the Chairman of the Federal Task Force on Fake Drugs and Unwholesome Processed Foods emphasized the need for military support to strengthen NAFDAC’s operations, noting that the presence of the Army would significantly boost the agency’s ability to achieve its mandate.

In response, Major General Mijinyawa assured the Director of the Division’s support, stressing the importance of collaboration with relevant agencies and stakeholders to promote food and drug safety as well as national security. He reiterated the Nigerian Army’s commitment to partnerships that foster a more effective and efficient security framework. The visit ended with a mutual understanding and commitment to work together in pursuit of shared objectives.
